Seeded Cracker

The Aldi paleo mix makes a great topping mix, but it’s also perfect for turning into a crunchy cracker for a nutrient dense snack.

The addition of the chia seeds acts like the ‘glue’ to help bind all the ingredients and adds a fibre boost.

These are delicious as is, but would also be great topped with a nut butter.


2.5 cups Aldi paleo mix (equivalent to the 400g pack)

0.5 cups black chia seeds

1.5 cups water

Salt, to taste

Preheat oven to 160 degrees, fan forced.

Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

Set aside for 10 minutes, until all the water has been absorbed.

Spread mixture onto a baking tray. You want the mixture to be about 0.5cm thick. You may need to use 2 trays.

Place in the oven for about 45 minutes, or until the seeds are golden.

Let it cool for 10 minutes and break into smaller pieces. If they centre pieces are still soft, place them back in the oven for another 10 minutes.
